Gluten-Free Sourdough Hamburger Buns

ingredients
2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup melted butter (or dairy-free alternative)
1/2 cup warm milk (or dairy-free alternative)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine the gluten-free sourdough starter, gluten-free all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, melted butter, warm milk, eggs, apple cider vinegar, baking powder, and baking soda in a large mixing bowl.
Mix until smooth.
Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and shape each part into a ball.
Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them a few inches apart.
Flatten each dough ball slightly with the palm of your hand.
If desired, brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Allow the buns to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
